Gospel Midi & Chords - Stand Out

It's not over yet...

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for my negligence to this blog. There are many reasons for this, but among these were the feeling that my contribution would not make a difference. However, I was corrected by the first comment made on this blog:

I just stumbled upon your site... I think what you're doing is great. Especially for someone like me who can't play but wants to learn. Only problem is, it seem that you haven't been posting in almost two months. We can't let that happen. The work must be finished.

God Bless

I agree. The work must be finished. The Bible says "Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD." With that said, this site will continue. I will not lay down and just take the limitations of doubt, fear, and insecurity. This site will continue, and I plant to post a new midi file soon. As soon as I find what I need for my camera, a camera tutorial will be posted as well.

In the meantime, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Tye Tribbett & G.A. have released a new CD entitled Stand Out. I was very impressed with the second album, Victory Live! especially track 11, Sinking. It is among the growing list of songs that I would love to learn and master some day.

Lastly, before I close this post, I was reminded last night to think bigger than what I see. I had wanted a 42" flat screen television because they are high definition displays that could double as a second monitor for my laptop and improve playing my Nintendo Wii. However, I was told that 42" was too big for my 930 sq. ft. apartment, and I had resorted back to 32". That makes sense, however, a Rev. TJ Farrow reminded me that I would not live in this apartment forever, so it is in fact, believing that God would give me a house to fit the television.

That is what must be done with learning to play gospel music for God. There are songs that I always viewed as being out of my reach, for example, Tye Tribbett's Sinking that I mentioned earlier. However, with God, all things are possible. All I need is faith as a grain of mustard seed, and I say to this mountain of self (doubt, insecurity, fear) in my life, move, and it will go. All you and I have to do is believe on the promises of God and it will be so. There is a difference between being talented and the anointing. The anointing will allow a person that cannot sing reach heaven with their voice and lead people to Christ, while the talented singer will not have nearly the same effect.

Thanks for the comments and together, let's lift up the name of Jesus with the piano. I have no midi files currently, but there will be some in the immediate future.
