Gospel Midi & Chords - New Beginnings

it is just beginning...

God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good. This post comes not too long after my 24th birthday, and after such a turnout, I must say that I feel much more blessed than I have possibly ever felt. As a result, I have recorded many songs to post on this site, and soon, I will post again with a comprehensive list of all songs that are available from this blog. I have yet to receive any requests, so I will continue to practice as whatever comes my way.

Now back to the blessing.

At least 20 people came out to help me celebrate my birthday, and least six of those didn't leave until after 3:30 AM that morning. We joked, we laughed, played spades, Wii Sports, and Guitar Hero III, and I had a good ol' time with the saints of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. I felt much love, especially in the hardships I had been dealing with, and now, I feel the strength to continue.

One of my friends, Jessica Byrd, made a surprise appearance and blessed me with a pair of Nike Air Force Ones. It was my fault that we lost contact, and I dare not do it again. She is a real friend, and it isn't the shoes. It is the fact that after all that time, she came to my house and we picked back up like nothing ever happened since our college days.

God is love, and it is love that God uses to bless people. Each and every person there made a sacrifice to be there, and their seeds of love gave me the strength that I have to keep going. Never will I take the power of friendship for granted again. This is why I in this post are the birthday photos and multiple songs that illustrate this revelation. God has never left me, and I thank Him for His goodness and mercy that follows me all the days of my life.

Gospel Midi & Chords - Stand Out

It's not over yet...

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for my negligence to this blog. There are many reasons for this, but among these were the feeling that my contribution would not make a difference. However, I was corrected by the first comment made on this blog:

I just stumbled upon your site... I think what you're doing is great. Especially for someone like me who can't play but wants to learn. Only problem is, it seem that you haven't been posting in almost two months. We can't let that happen. The work must be finished.

God Bless

I agree. The work must be finished. The Bible says "Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD." With that said, this site will continue. I will not lay down and just take the limitations of doubt, fear, and insecurity. This site will continue, and I plant to post a new midi file soon. As soon as I find what I need for my camera, a camera tutorial will be posted as well.

In the meantime, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Tye Tribbett & G.A. have released a new CD entitled Stand Out. I was very impressed with the second album, Victory Live! especially track 11, Sinking. It is among the growing list of songs that I would love to learn and master some day.

Lastly, before I close this post, I was reminded last night to think bigger than what I see. I had wanted a 42" flat screen television because they are high definition displays that could double as a second monitor for my laptop and improve playing my Nintendo Wii. However, I was told that 42" was too big for my 930 sq. ft. apartment, and I had resorted back to 32". That makes sense, however, a Rev. TJ Farrow reminded me that I would not live in this apartment forever, so it is in fact, believing that God would give me a house to fit the television.

That is what must be done with learning to play gospel music for God. There are songs that I always viewed as being out of my reach, for example, Tye Tribbett's Sinking that I mentioned earlier. However, with God, all things are possible. All I need is faith as a grain of mustard seed, and I say to this mountain of self (doubt, insecurity, fear) in my life, move, and it will go. All you and I have to do is believe on the promises of God and it will be so. There is a difference between being talented and the anointing. The anointing will allow a person that cannot sing reach heaven with their voice and lead people to Christ, while the talented singer will not have nearly the same effect.

Thanks for the comments and together, let's lift up the name of Jesus with the piano. I have no midi files currently, but there will be some in the immediate future.
